Second Life Journey

  This year I have a class called Instructional Technologies. In this class, we started to use virtual reality tools in order to learn about technologies in terms of educational life. The virtual world I used is “Second Life”. It is a new platform for me as I have never used a virtual world tool. I think it is incredible as it allows you to create a surrealistic world which may enable you to follow a path in order to teach your students. As students of our era have a very close relationship with technological tools, it will help us as teachers to reach out to our kids easily. Even in our class, it is already fun to make homework in this virtual world as it is not paperwork or not a study group or not a midterm exam preparation. It is much more fun to do things like that. I am happy to be in this world and to have a chance to work on it.
